Confused.com issued Freedom of Information requests to 45 UK police forces requesting the number of pram thefts reported since 2015.

31 police forces responded with the data in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. This data was aggregated to show the total number of thefts reported for 2018, and across all years.

We also asked police forces to identify locations within the constabulary area where the highest number of thefts were reported. These identify the 'theft hotspots'.

Confused.com conducted additional research via One Poll to parents with children under the age of 12. This research identified the average amount of money parents spend on prams, pushchairs, strollers or similar, broken down by region.
